Session 1: Diabetic Retinopathy


All people with #Diabetic #Mellitus are at #risk. #Diabetic #Retinopathy is the result of damage to the small blood vessels and #neurons of the #retina. Can #Diabetes cause blindness? And of course Yes. Having higher than normal #blood #sugar levels is not a direct cause of #blindness, but it does increase the risk of developing serious #eye conditions such as #diabeticretinopathy, which over time can lead to permanent loss of #sight.
